Meet - Lisa Edwards

Lisa Edwards is the Founder/CEO of Central Care Services (CCS).  She unifies the community to sustainably improve education and health while creating joy and opportunities for seniors and chronically impaired persons in need. 

Lisa is a native Washingtonian, the second child of three siblings, and a believer, “that everything happens for a reason.” Growing up, Lisa showed an exceptional blend of empathy and compassion for others while being concerned about their quality of life. Fortunately, her thirst for caring did not come to an end. 

As a mother of three and a grandmother of one, Lisa, achieved her Nursing Assistance Certificate from VMT Education Center in the early 2000s. She had the opportunity to work in several healthcare facilities and volunteered in the community. Lisa started her career as a Caregiver at Washington Aging Center to later venture into private home care assisting elderly and disabled residents in the Washington, DC area. Thereafter, she earned her Associate's, in Business Administration and received her Bachelor's in Business Administration, concentration in Health Services Administration from Strayer University in 2017. 

After more than 30 years of professional experience, Lisa used her natural leadership and innovative skills to begin her Entrepreneurial journey in 2015 by launching Central Care Services, LLC (CCS).

In 2020, Lisa Edwards was presented with a great opportunity to not only share her story, "InHerCure", (THE DAY BEFORE, THE DAY OF, AND THE DAY AFTER), but to make a difference along with six other women overcoming internal thoughts and feelings that has allowed them to find strength through the various challenges of their lives. She shared her story in hopes that others would have relatable experiences and know that whatever they are experiencing and have been facing can be cured. 

As Central Care Services expands its effort to provide support for the vulnerable community in the Washington, DC Metropolitan area during unprecedented times; resources and demand for services have increased, but financial support has not. Central Care Services has launched a foundation to help us better serve the community.
